Author Bio
I’m Gail Waterhouse, author of the paranormal crime thriller series Blood Becoming.
I hold an MA in Creative and Media Education, and much of my writing grows from a quiet fascination with how people think, grieve, and endure. My love of speculative fiction gives me space to explore those inner worlds through stories that blend the familiar with the uncanny.
When I’m not writing, I’m usually reflecting on the subtle ways crime, human or otherwise, shapes lives and relationships. Like my protagonist, I have experienced loss, and those moments of rebuilding have influenced the emotional and psychological threads that run through my work.
I’m looking forward to publishing my first novel in 2026 and sharing these characters and their unsettling world with readers who enjoy crime fiction with a supernatural edge.

I live in North Yorkshire with my two French Bulldogs, whose mischief often breaks the quiet I try to keep while writing. Outside of work, I spend my time reading, gardening, or walking the dogs along the same routes where I disentangle plot ideas and test out new scenes.
