GAIL WATERHOUSE

Author Profile

I live in Teesside, North Yorkshire with my two French Bulldogs, whose mischief often breaks the quiet I try to keep whilst writing. Outside of work, I spend my time reading, gardening, or walking the dogs along the same routes where I disentangle plot ideas and test out new scenes.

Author Bio

I’m Gail Waterhouse, author of the paranormal crime thriller series Blood Becoming.

I hold an MA in Creative and Media Education, and my writing explores the intersection of crime, psychology, and the unknown. I’m particularly interested in how people respond when the familiar begins to fracture.

BLOOD BECOMING

Halvyn Dawn

A fusion of hard-edged police procedural with an entirely original supernatural mythology. A mother is caught between her duty as a detective and her fear of losing a family member to forces she can barely understand.

Full synopsis

DCI Eleanor Moore is drawn into a series of brutal killings that defy explanation. As she follows the trail of evidence, she uncovers links between the crimes, the vaccine, and a shadowy conspiracy determined to control the future. The investigation becomes painfully personal when Eleanor realises a member of her own family may be entangled in the very secrets she is chasing.

Blood Becoming: Halvyn Dawn is a paranormal crime thriller set in 2046, where the aftermath of a contaminated vaccine has altered humanity in ways no one yet fully understands. Hybrid beings walk among us, their true nature hidden until violence drags them into the light.

'The hunger lived in him like a second spine, twisting through his ribs, pulling at his throat.'
